Transportation Resources in New Caney

New Caney is directly adjacent to Interstate 69 in Montgomery County. This means that most of your travel into the city of Houston- for work, recreation and everything in between will be done via the interstate. Traffic conditions in the mornings and afternoons at rush-hour can be a tad slow as you may expect. However, compared to some of its suburban neighbors, the rush hour commute from New Caney isn’t the worst by any means.
The Grand Parkway is just south of New Caney and connects Harris, Montgomery, and Fort Bend Counties. The Houston Metro area has three loops of note- the 610 loop that encircles the city center of Houston, Beltway 8/The Sam Houston Toll Road which is an outer loop that basically divides the city proper from the suburbs and the Grand Parkway. What used to be the “country” has fast become anything but. New Caney has developed into the growing area that it has due in no small part to the Grand Parkway.
The Townsen Park and Ride in Humble, just south of New Caney is a great way for you to get to the courthouse downtown if you are currently going through a family law case. You can drive your vehicle to their park and ride facility operated by METRO, leave your vehicle at their facility and take a METRO bus to your court date or any other place of business that you have in downtown Houston.
