Governmental Resources in Kingwood
The city of Houston officially incorporated Kingwood in the 1990s. As such, many of the city services available within Houston are also available in Kingwood. You can reach the Kingwood substation for the Houston Police Department by calling 832-395-1800 if you need law enforcement and governmental assistance.
Meanwhile, the municipal courts of Harris County hear cases related to traffic citations and small damages in the realm of property and bodily injury. Their Kingwood Annex Court address is 3915 Rustic Woods, Kingwood, TX 77339. The courthouse is open on Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Humble Independent School District serves Kingwood. In fact, Humble ISD covers over 90+ square miles of area and includes the communities of Humble, Atascocita, Kingwood, Fall Creek, Eagle Springs and others. The district is geographically 17 miles northeast of the city of Houston’s downtown. Families, teachers, the school board of HISD and local businesses work together to serve the children of HISD in a student-first mentality. All 45 campuses of HISD boast active PTA/PTO organizations and have engaged booster clubs for fine arts and sports, alike.
Additionally, the City of Houston- Kingwood Utility District 5 provides water for the residents of Kingwood. Water is drawn from the Evangeline and Chicot Aquifers. You can direct customer service requests, questions, and concerns to their main customer service line at 832-393-1000 or at customer.service@houstontx.gov. For broken water mains or pipelines please call 713-837-0311. Upon moving to Kingwood, you can set up water service through the Utility District’s Start Service Form. To stop water service, you would utilize the district’s stop service form.
Finally, Kingwood’s fire stations are within Houston Fire District 102, operated by Houston Fire Department. Stations 101, 102, 103 and 104 are all located in the city of Kingwood. Kingwood emergency services, such as ambulance transport, can be accessed by dialing 911 for assistance.
