Moving to Bellaire
Despite its proximity to Houston, Bellaire, TX maintains a certain degree of small-town charm. Bellaire can differentiate itself from Houston, in part, due to its own mayor, city council, police department, fire department, and household moving services. Young families, professionals, and blue-collar workers alike call Bellaire home. Many neighborhoods with lush landscaping and green trees allow for residents of Bellaire to feel like their home is an escape from the hectic pace of their daily lives.
The municipal services of Bellaire are first class. Many suburban areas of Houston have annexed into the city. This means that those residents must utilize the water, recycling, and trash services of a large city. There is nothing wrong with these services provided by the city of Houston, but many people prefer to be able to have their town or neighborhood utilize a particular service provider that may be more to their liking. Bellaire is an independent city and offers its own municipal services to residents.
In addition, the city of Bellaire also has its own police department which is made up of several dozen full time officers and a handful of noncommissioned personnel. The fire department of Bellaire has EMT, and paramedic services certified by the Texas Department of State Health Services. Then, the fire department’s proximity to its residents means that in the event of a fire or other emergency, help is a short phone call away.
Moreover, four private schools- Veritas Christian Academy of Houston, Holy Ghost Catholic School, Episcopal High School and The Post Oak School call Bellaire home. Bellaire is served by Houston Independent School District. Bellaire High School is one of the most established and well-respected high schools in the entire Houston area. This high school has a great reputation for achievement in academics and athletics.
Finally, the City of Bellaire public library provides comprehensive library services to residents of Bellaire and the community at large.
